Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Junior Dos Melanos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, KenPo Spice!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Winston Howard and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spice gets tackled into the cage by Dos Melanos. Dos Melanos maintains the clinch.
Spice jumps guard but Dos Melanos stands there with Spice around his waist. Spice gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Dos Melanos has picked Spice up - he's going for a ride! Dos Melanos dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Spice looks like he's trying to stand up.
Spice gets back to full guard.
Spice is looking to stand up but Dos Melanos isn't so interested in that idea.
Spice keeping moving, preventing Dos Melanos from controlling successfully.
Spice wants to stand and escape but Dos Melanos is having none of it.

We're going to have a standup here because Junior Dos Melanos wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Dos Melanos pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Dos Melanos is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Spice's half guard.
Spice avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Dos Melanos.

Spice kicks off Dos Melanos and gets to his feet.
Spice falls off balance throwing a combination
and Dos Melanos counters with a body kick that stops Spice in his tracks momentarily.
Dos Melanos has closed the distance and engaged Spice in a clinch.
Spice has Dos Melanos pressed against the cage, preventing Dos Melanos from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Dos Melanos can't break the clinch.
Spice has Dos Melanos pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Dos Melanos manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Spice tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Dos Melanos just stands there and leans against the cage.
Junior Dos Melanos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of KenPo Spice.
Dos Melanos is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Spice can't fight it off and eventually Dos Melanos manages to take the fight to the floor. Spice looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Spice manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Dos Melanos is breathing heavily.

Spice throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Spice trying to control but he's not successful this time.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Spice is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Spice can't control as he wanted to and Dos Melanos manages to get the fight back to his half guard.
Dos Melanos is trying to stand up here but Spice is controlling him well.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by KenPo Spice.
Spice wants to clinch but Dos Melanos slips to the side
and Dos Melanos counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Dos Melanos has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Dos Melanos working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Spice has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Dos Melanos should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Spice has tightened it up now! Dos Melanos should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
