The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Reed Andrews and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grant shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Grant showed some decent athleticism there.
Grant stops Champion from getting back to his feet.
Champion on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Champion tries to get out of the position.
Grant is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Grant working Champion over with strikes.
Grant is taking a breather. Champion says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Champion is doing well to control the position and prevent Grant from advancing to side control.
Champion blocking the ground and pound attempt from Grant.
Grant slips a nice elbow through Champion's hands, connecting with Champion's forehead.
Champion trying to hold on to Grant's head to control him but Grant postures up.
Grant lands strikes from half guard.
Grant thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Champion taking some punishment here, with Grant in his half guard.

Grant prevents Champion from standing back up.
Grant takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Grant lands with a punch from half guard.
Champion is trying to control but can't.
Champion wants to get back to full guard but Grant has mounted him!
Grant lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Grant fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Champion is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Grant cracks Champion with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
