Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marius Zaromskis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Anthony Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marius Zaromskis! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Winston Howard and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zaromskis wants to clinch up but Johnson keeps it at a distance. The fight moves into the clinch position. Zaromskis dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Zaromskis connects with a knee to the head.
Zaromskis lands a takedown into guard.
Zaromskis throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Johnson works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Zaromskis has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Zaromskis controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Zaromskis trying to control but Johnson is working from the bottom. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Marius Zaromskis. Zaromskis tries to clinch up but Johnson circles away and keeps his distance. Johnson shoots and misses and Johnson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Johnson looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Zaromskis!

Zaromskis wants to get back to his feet. Johnson is hanging on to Zaromskis's back as he tries to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Zaromskis grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. Johnson working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Zaromskis is keeping busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Zaromskis breaks Johnson's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Johnson has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Zaromskis off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Zaromskis gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Johnson to score an easy takedown into full guard. Johnson postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Johnson scores with a takedown into Zaromskis's guard. Johnson trying to control but Zaromskis is working from the bottom. Zaromskis looking to hit a scissor sweep but Johnson is one step ahead there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Johnson gets to his feet. Zaromskis looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Johnson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Zaromskis counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Johnson wants to get back to his feet but Zaromskis is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zaromskis stands up and waves to Johnson to follow him. Johnson tries for a takedown but Zaromskis circles away easily and Zaromskis counters with a head kick. That will keep Johnson thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! No joy there for Zaromskis, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Johnson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Zaromskis keeping full guard, as Johnson tries to pass. Johnson wants to control from the top but Zaromskis keeps moving. Zaromskis is looking to stand up but Johnson isn't so interested in that idea.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson stopping the sweep attempt from Zaromskis. Johnson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Zaromskis swivels though and keeps the full guard. Johnson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Zaromskis is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Johnson is controlling him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson content to stall in guard here. Zaromskis is looking to stand up but Johnson isn't so interested in that idea. Johnson lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Johnson trying to control but Zaromskis is working from the bottom. Zaromskis kicks Johnson off and gets to his feet. Johnson shoots in looking for a takedown. Zaromskis tries to sprawl out of it but Johnson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Zaromskis manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anthony Johnson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Zaromskis scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Zaromskis has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Zaromskis shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Johnson is trying to stand up here but Zaromskis is controlling him well. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Zaromskis missing with the ground and pound from half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marius Zaromskis showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Zaromskis lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Johnson backs up against the cage.
Johnson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Johnson looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Zaromskis tries to hold on but Johnson pushes him away. Zaromskis might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Johnson kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Zaromskis is looking to get to half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Zaromskis can do anything to dispel that myth. Johnson won't let Zaromskis get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Johnson manages to capitalize on a mistake by Zaromskis to take his back! Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zaromskis looking very determined here, making life difficult for Johnson.

Johnson not allowing Zaromskis to control his hands. Zaromskis holding both Johnson 's hands and preventing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Zaromskis trying to control the position but Johnson manages to sink in the hooks. A bit of a pause in the action here. Johnson controlling the positon. Zaromskis is in bad spot here.
