Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lewis Clarkson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tyson Woods! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Daniel Cesar and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Woods feints and as Clarkson raises his hands in defense, Woods changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Clarkson working a defensive guard here.
Woods stays in close to Clarkson's body and controls the position. Clarkson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Woods defends it easily. Woods is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Clarkson wants to sweep but no luck. Woods content to stall in guard here.
That's one minute gone in the round.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Tyson Woods hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Woods drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Clarkson is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Clarkson is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Woods asserts his dominance and retains side control. Clarkson tries to bench press Woods off him but Woods keeps the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Woods slows the pace down. Clarkson tries to get back to half guard but can't. Woods is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Woods's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Clarkson manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Woods slows the pace down in half guard.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Tyson Woods wasn't active enough on the ground. Clarkson tries to clinch there but Woods circles away.
Woods circles away from the clinch attempt and Woods counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Woods's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Clarkson manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Woods holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Clarkson tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Woods is trying desperately to improve position. Clarkson sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tyson Woods dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Tyson Woods. Clarkson wants to clinch and Woods counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Woods lands a couple of elbows. Woods got a little sloppy there for a moment and Clarkson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Woods has managed to get both his arms back between Clarkson's legs - danger averted. Woods controls from within his opponent's guard. Woods is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Woods stays in close to Clarkson's body and controls the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Woods stands up from guard. Let's bang! Clarkson tries to sprawl but Woods drives through with a takedown into half guard. Woods controlling the action here. Clarkson wants to get back to full guard but Woods has passed into side control. Clarkson is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Woods content just to control the position here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tyson Woods showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Woods shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Woods seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Clarkson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's one minute gone in the round. Clarkson is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Woods gets control of Clarkson's arms and successfully pulls guard. Woods will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Woods is looking for a triangle but Clarkson pushes his legs off easily.
Clarkson wants to pass the guard but Woods is keeping the position. Woods is controlling Clarkson's posture.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Woods has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Clarkson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Woods has his feet on Clarkson's thighs here. He's pushed Clarkson off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Clarkson screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
