Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Flavio Sandoval (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Foster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Flavio Sandoval!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Foster will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Sandoval throws a right hand that Foster ducks under and follows up with a left that Foster also avoids with ease.
Sandoval misses with a leg kick
and Foster counters with a shoot takedown. Sandoval fights it but they end up in guard.
Foster tries to free his leg and advance position but Sandoval is retaining full guard.

Foster has gone for a leg lock! Sandoval slips out almost immediately though and dives into Foster's guard.

Foster throws an elbow but Sandoval slips to the side and avoids it well.
Foster misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Sandoval working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
