Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marek Dudzinski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erik Koch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koch has chosen Devil Driver-"Clouds over Califorina" as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Erik Koch has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marek Dudzinski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Erik Koch! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Aafke Stam and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick by Dudzinski misses enabling Koch to counter with a crisp jab. Koch throws a right and a left that Dudzinski avoids nicely. Koch moves out of range of the body kick. Koch shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Dudzinski napping and manages to drive through into side control! You can see the frustration on Dudzinski's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Dudzinski prevents Koch from moving into mount. Koch sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Dudzinski is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

That's one minute gone in the round. The strikes coming from Koch are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Koch working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Sloppy strikes there by Koch. Dudzinski gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Koch thows a huge punch but Dudzinski dodges it nicely.
Koch not landing any meaningful shots this time. Dudzinski is not content to let Koch control the position. Dudzinski is in trouble now - Koch has advanced to mount! Koch working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Koch jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Dudzinski manages to avoid the submission attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Koch tries to move into full mount but can't pass Dudzinski's legs. Dudzinski is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Koch's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Koch missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Koch has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Erik Koch dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Dudzinski tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Koch paws at him with a jab and circles away. Koch shoots in but Dudzinski avoids the takedown attempt easily. Koch doesn't succeed with the takedown and Dudzinski counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. A shot to the body from Dudzinski misses and Koch counters with a flying knee. Nice. Dudzinski rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Koch counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Koch trying to control but Dudzinski is working from the bottom. Dudzinski is looking for a triangle here but Koch uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Koch is looking to take a break and control but Dudzinski is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Koch tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Koch tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Koch has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Koch is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Dudzinski is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Koch trying to control the position but Dudzinski is working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Dudzinski dodges the ground and pound from Koch. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Koch working away. Koch tries to score with some ground and pound. Dudzinski controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Koch misses with the ground and pound. Koch landing a few strikes. Koch in side control, throwing shots but Dudzinski defends. Dudzinski gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Koch trying to control from half guard but Dudzinski is working away. Koch throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Erik Koch showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Koch misses the shot to the body. Dudzinski stuffs the takedown. Marek Dudzinski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dudzinski looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Koch tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dudzinski sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Koch somewhat. Dudzinski takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Koch tries for a takedown but Dudzinski sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Marek Dudzinski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Erik Koch. Dudzinski swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Dudzinski scores with a hook to the body. Koch takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Koch goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Dudzinski misses with a body punch
and Koch counters with a head kick. Nice takedown defense from Dudzinski. No joy for Koch on that attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sloppy strikes from Dudzinski. Those never looked like landing. Koch has a takedown stuffed. Koch misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Dudzinski.
Dudzinski throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Koch closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dudzinski to the mat! Dudzinski manages to get full guard. Koch thows a big elbow that misses. Dudzinski looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Koch wants to control from the top but Dudzinski keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Koch slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Koch throws an elbow but Dudzinski slips to the side and avoids it well. Koch just content to control the position. You can see the frustration on Dudzinski's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Koch thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Koch throws a strike aimed at the side of Dudzinski's head but Dudzinski avoids it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Koch trying to control the position but Dudzinski is working away. Koch working the strikes but Dudzinski uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Koch moves into full mount! Dudzinski won't be happy about that! Dudzinski tries to hold on but Koch postures up. Koch throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Koch can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Dudzinski is looking to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Dudzinski working to try and regain half guard.
Koch looking to secure an arm triangle but Dudzinski defends it well. Dudzinski holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Koch tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Koch is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Dudzinski to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Dudzinski shrugs it off. Koch is landing with some decent strikes but Dudzinski is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
And that's the end of the fight! Erik Koch comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Koch has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
