Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Carter Hardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rene Vesque (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Rene Vesque was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Vesque lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Hardy has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Hardy and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Vesque misses with an uppercut
and Vesque takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

It looks like Rene Vesque has been cut.
Vesque scores with a hook to the body. Hardy takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

and Vesque counters with a left and a right that stings Hardy.
Hardy on the wrong end of a nice jab.

letting Vesque counter with a right hand.

It looks like Carter Hardy has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Good work by Hardy as he checks the leg kick.
Hardy shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Vesque pinned against the cage. Vesque gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carter Hardy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hardy walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Rene Vesque seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vesque throws a combination that misses

and Hardy counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Vesque!

Hardy has hold of Vesque's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Vesque manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Hardy sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Vesque is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

Hardy working for a guillotine from mount but Vesque is in no mood to give up.

Hardy is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Vesque is forced to tap! Great finish!
