0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Magomed Sultanakhmedov! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sultanakhmedov tries to clinch up but Kleva circles away and keeps his distance. Sultanakhmedov shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kleva defends it nicely. Kleva thuds his right hand into Sultanakhmedov's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Sultanakhmedov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kleva pinned against the cage. Kleva gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Vitaliy Kleva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sultanakhmedov shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Vitaliy Kleva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Magomed Sultanakhmedov. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kleva closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sultanakhmedov did well to prevent Kleva getting side control.

Kleva drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Sultanakhmedov keeping moving, preventing Kleva from controlling successfully. Sultanakhmedov ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Sultanakhmedov no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Kleva loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Sultanakhmedov has a closed guard, preventing Kleva from standing up.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Magomed Sultanakhmedov hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Kleva rushes Sultanakhmedov and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Sultanakhmedov tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kleva just stands there and leans against the cage. Vitaliy Kleva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Magomed Sultanakhmedov.
