Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Garth Fourie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Steve Green!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Steven Brown and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green avoids the head kick by Fourie.
Green misses with a jab, cross combination.
Fourie tries to clinch up
and Green counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

and Fourie counters with a head kick that drops Green to the mat! Green scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Steve Green was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Fourie throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Green's waist but Green gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fourie off to one side.

Green jumps guard and drags Fourie to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Green can do anything to dispel that myth.

Fourie creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Fourie is looking to take a break and control but Green is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Fourie works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Green really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fourie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Green fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Fourie, pushing him back against the cage.

That's time! Fourie's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Fourie jumps guard but Green stands there with Fourie around his waist. Fourie gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Green is trying to drag Fourie to the mat but Fourie just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Green lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Fourie or not.

Green manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Green is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Fourie trying to control the position from guard on top but Green is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Green throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Green has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fourie can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Green has a closed guard, preventing Fourie from standing up.
Green wants to stand up but Fourie is controlling him.

Green escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fourie gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Fourie stands up from Green's guard - Fourie perhaps looking for a knockout.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Steve Green.
I think Fourie has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
