Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between BJay Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny de Laet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). de Laet has chosen Darude - Sandstrom as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Danny de Laet has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with BJay Penn's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, BJay Penn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Danny de Laet! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, William Gold and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! de Laet shoots in for a takedown but Penn shows good takedown defense. Penn doesn't manage to clinch there - de Laet circles away.
Penn darts in and clinches de Laet up against the cage. Penn looking for a takedown. Penn missing with knees to the body.
Penn looking to throw knees to the head but de Laet is blocking nicely.
de Laet lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Penn backwards. Penn throws a knee to the head but misses.
Penn crunches a lovely knee into de Laet's ribcage. Penn throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
de Laet is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Penn pulls him back up using the underhooks. Penn lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Penn tries to pull guard but de Laet won't allow it.

de Laet breaks the clinch.
de Laet tries to clinch there but Penn circles away.
de Laet tries to clinch but Penn moves out of range. de Laet feints and as Penn raises his hands in defense, de Laet changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. de Laet distracts Penn with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. de Laet throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Penn works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Penn is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Penn is breathing heavily. de Laet avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
de Laet works over Penn with some ground and pound from guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. de Laet pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Penn is keeping the position for now. de Laet thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Penn has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but de Laet can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Penn throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
de Laet with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Penn is on top in guard.
Penn connects with a couple of short punches. Penn is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Penn advances to half guard. Penn is nestled in close to de Laet, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Penn is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! de Laet is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
