Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lyoto Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Kaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machida kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is For Whom The Bell Tolls. Kaka has chosen Pjanoo by Eric Prydaz as his entrance music. Ricardo Kaka will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Seu Braga and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaka lands a nice looking body shot.
Kaka throws the kick towards the body but Machida avoids it.
Kaka is looking to land body kicks.

and Machida cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Kaka fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Machida, pushing him back against the cage.

and Machida makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Kaka really felt that one!
Machida on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Kaka is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Machida rather than just go for the knockout.

Machida with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Kaka to score with a decent uppercut.

A head kick lands from Kaka that sends Machida to the canvas. Machida tries to scramble back to his feet but Kaka brings him back down into side control.
Oh Machida is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kaka tries for a kimura but Machida is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kaka is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Machida looks calm but he's in trouble here. Kaka gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Machida is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Kaka lets go of the hold and Machida can pop his arm back in it's socket.
