Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Evans, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Evans looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Courage closes the distance and pushes Evans back into the ropes.
Evans gets underhooks to prevent Courage's takedown attempt.

Courage gets control of Evans's arms and successfully pulls guard. Courage will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Courage seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Evans could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Courage holds on and takes a little breather.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Christian Courage was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Courage lands a big uppercut and Evans crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Evans looks OK. Courage waves Evans back to his feet!


It looks like Rashad Evans has been cut.

Evans is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Courage is defending well for now.

Courage is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Evans can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Let's hope that Courage has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Courage avoids the attempt from Evans to control.
Evans on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Evans tries to get out of the position.

Christian Courage has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Courage shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Evans napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Courage content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
It looks like Courage might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Courage wants to control the pace but Evans is squirming around nicely.

Courage throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Evans has his hands clasped together but Courage breaks the hold and Evans is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Courage!
