Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Steak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cody Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chuck Steak! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cody Jackson! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steak moves in looking to clinch but Jackson pushes him off. Jackson clinches. Steak goes for a takedown in the clinch but Jackson prevents it.
Steak wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Jackson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Steak is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Jackson jumps into guard, dragging Steak to the mat.
Jackson has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Steak off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Steak shoots in but no luck this time. Steak feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Jackson tries to land a sweep but no joy. Steak knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jackson on the ground. Steak trying to stand up but can't free himself from Jackson's guard. Jackson keeping moving, preventing Steak from controlling successfully. Jackson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Jackson looking for a guillotine here but Steak defends easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson is trying to keep Steak in close.
Steak wanted to stand there but Jackson had control of the position. Jackson looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Steak closes the distance and clinches up with Jackson, looking for a takedown. Steak pushes Jackson against the cage but Jackson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chuck Steak. That's going to take a lot out of him. Steak looks to clinch and Jackson moves into the clinch. Steak prevents the takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Steak stops a takedown attempt from Jackson.
Jackson looks gassed! Steak wants a takedown.
Steak drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Jackson gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Steak tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jackson just stands there and leans against the cage. Jackson will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Steak up against the cage. Jackson breaks from the clinch.
Steak tries for a takedown but Jackson circles away easily and Jackson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Jackson lands a shot to the body. Steak wants to get back to striking at distance but Jackson won't allow it.
Jackson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jackson doesn't succeed with the takedown and Steak counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jackson's guard now. Jackson trying to keep a closed guard but Steak is proving a slippery customer.

That's three minutes gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jackson is on top in guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Jackson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Jackson pushes down on Steak's leg and manages to get into half guard. Jackson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Steak is just riding it out for now. Jackson eventually gives up the hold. Steak wants to get back to full guard. Jackson is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Jackson tries to control but Steak wriggling away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Cody Jackson will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Jackson feints and as Steak raises his hands in defense, Jackson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Jackson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Steak is looking to stand back up but Jackson counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Steak. Jackson just content to control the position. Steak is not in a great position here, taking some shots. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jackson tries to advance to mount but can't. Jackson moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Steak wants to control but Jackson postures up. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson happy to just control the position for now. Jackson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Steak keeps working. Jackson tries to advance to mount but can't. Steak wants to control but Jackson postures up. Steak is trying to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Jackson shoots in but no luck this time. Steak shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Jackson looking for a guillotine here but Steak defends easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson controls Steak momentarily but Steak frees himself. Steak wants to pass the guard but Jackson is keeping the position. Jackson lands a good elbow from the bottom. Steak won't allow Jackson to sweep him here. Jackson keeping full guard, as Steak tries to pass. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Steak accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Steak passes easily into side control. Nice work. Jackson is looking to regain half guard here but Steak keeps moving and retains side control. Jackson manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Jackson is looking to take a break and control but Steak is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Steak is pressing down on Jackson's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Steak holds on and takes a little breather. Jackson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Jackson forces his way into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cody Jackson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jackson trying to keep a closed guard but Steak is proving a slippery customer.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Jackson is landing with some decent strikes but Steak is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steak is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Steak is in a horrible position here. Jackson smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Jackson postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Steak looks a forlorn figure.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Steak wants to control but Jackson is having none of it. Jackson is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Steak is surviving well by controlling Jackson's body position as best he can. Steak wants to hold on but Jackson pushes him away. Jackson looking to control but Steak is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Jackson scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Steak?
Jackson wants to control the pace but Steak is squirming around nicely. Jackson is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Steak can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Steak is rocked!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson trying to control but he's not successful this time. Steak is trying desperately to improve position. Steak tries to improve his position but instead Jackson has taken his back! Jackson scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Steak rolls, trying to escape but Jackson keeps control of the position.
Steak looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Steak is trapped and Jackson is scoring with shots to the head and body. Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Jackson.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jackson is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Steak defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Steak is really stuck here.
Steak is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Jackson gets his way!

And that's the end of the fight! Cody Jackson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Jackson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
