Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lucio del Cielo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julio Lopez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). del Cielo kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Rise Against - Savior. Julio Lopez is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lucio del Cielo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Julio Lopez!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Alexandre Firmino and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopez fails with the takedown.
Lopez looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Lopez blocks a head kick by del Cielo.
del Cielo throws a head kick but Lopez moves out of range.
del Cielo tries to clinch but Lopez is having none of it.
Lopez shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts del Cielo as he jumps to the side.
del Cielo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A big head kick from del Cielo and Lopez is sent sprawling to the canvas!
Lopez is rocked!
It looks like Julio Lopez has been cut.
Lopez has a closed guard, preventing del Cielo from standing up.
Lopez is still in real trouble! Can del Cielo finish him?
Lopez wants to control but del Cielo passes easily into half guard.
Lopez is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but del Cielo pulls his head out easily.
Lopez seems to have recovered his senses.
Lopez is looking to control del Cielo's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lopez avoid being mounted?
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lopez tries to roll over but del Cielo keeps him under control.
Lopez is pressing down on del Cielo's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Lopez looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
del Cielo would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
del Cielo trying to control but Lopez is working from the bottom.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
del Cielo throws a head kick that misses.
Lucio del Cielo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
del Cielo lands a high kick!
del Cielo throws a half hearted mid kick.
del Cielo lands with a nice body kick.
Lopez circles away from the clinch attempt.
A decent looking body kick lands there for del Cielo.
A chopping leg kick lands by del Cielo.
del Cielo pulls out of a head kick attempt.

del Cielo gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Lopez trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Lopez pushes down on del Cielo's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Lopez content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Lopez gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
That's four minutes gone in the round.
del Cielo throws a looping overhand right but Lopez ducks down to avoid it.
Lopez blocks a head kick by del Cielo.
del Cielo throws a head kick that misses.
del Cielo has his takedown stuffed
and Lopez counters with a takedown into side control.
del Cielo tries to escape but Lopez is in control.
Lopez working away.
del Cielo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lopez on the ground.
del Cielo tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Lopez easily slips into full mount!
Lopez trying to control but he's not successful this time.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Lucio del Cielo will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Julio Lopez's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
A thudding body kick lands there by del Cielo!
del Cielo lands with a kick to the temple. Lopez shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Whack! del Cielo lands a heavy head kick that drops Lopez. The ref tackles del Cielo to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Lopez was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Lucio del Cielo!
