Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Josh Godcheck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Amir Zukic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Godcheck comes to the cage accompanied by Higher Ground by The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Zukic has chosen 50 cent - Many man as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Josh Godcheck!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Amir Zukic!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Zukic.
Godcheck rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Zukic moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Zukic doesn't manage to clinch there - Godcheck circles away.
Zukic throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Godcheck misses with an uppercut
and Zukic counters with a head kick. That will keep Godcheck thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Godcheck tries to clinch but Zukic moves away
and Zukic counters with a right hand to the body.
Zukic thumps Godcheck with a low kick.
Zukic ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Godcheck misses with a takedown attempt
and Zukic counters with a nice low kick that buckles Godcheck's knee momentarily.

Godcheck misses with an uppercut
and Godcheck takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Godcheck throws a left and a right that both miss
and Zukic counters with a nice body kick.
Godcheck is breathing heavily.
Zukic throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Godcheck counters with a nice uppercut.
Godcheck misses with an uppercut
and Zukic counters with a thumping low kick.
Zukic scores with a head kick. Godcheck tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Zukic chopping away at his opponent's legs.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Zukic connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Godcheck misses with an uppercut
and Zukic counters with a nice body kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Zukic lands a high kick to the side of Godcheck's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Zukic dives into guard, looking to finish.
Godcheck is rocked!
Zukic thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Oh Godcheck is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Zukic drops back looking for a leg! Godcheck is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Godcheck manages to kick Zukic off! Zukic jumps back into Godcheck's guard.
Godcheck seems to have got his legs back now.
Zukic is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Godcheck is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Godcheck has escaped and now he's on top!
Zukic is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Godcheck defends well.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Zukic had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Godcheck defends it easily.
Godcheck is looking to work some ground and pound but Zukic has wrist control.
Zukic keeping moving, preventing Godcheck from controlling successfully.
Zukic has his foot on Godcheck's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Godcheck works his way back into a safe position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Zukic throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Zukic is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Zukic is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Godcheck is aware though and is defending well.
Godcheck slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Godcheck landing some decent shots from guard.
Godcheck pushes down on Zukic's leg and manages to get into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Amir Zukic dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Zukic keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Zukic throws a leg kick but Godcheck checks it.
Godcheck misses with a hook
and Zukic counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Godcheck misses with an uppercut
and Zukic counters with a big head kick but Godcheck shrugs it off.
Zukic moves into the clinch successfully.
Godcheck lands a body shot in the clinch.
Zukic lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Godcheck backwards.
Zukic can't find room to land a body shot as Godcheck controls the action.
Zukic presses Godcheck against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Godcheck has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Zukic clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Godcheck lands with a hammerfist to the side of Zukic's head.
I would not like to be Zukic right now.
Oooh a big shot gets through from Godcheck. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
A lull in the action here.
Godcheck is hanging on to Zukic's back as he tries to escape.
Zukic trying to control the hands but Godcheck breaks the grip.
Godcheck working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Zukic is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Godcheck has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Zukic taps out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Josh Godcheck!
