Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dan Serr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edmund Behnke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dan Serr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Edmund Behnke! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Nard Betker and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Serr lands a glancing blow to the side of Behnke's head. Serr scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Serr stalling. Behnke avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Serr. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Serr lands a nice short elbow. Serr stops Behnke from getting back to his feet.
Serr wants to free his trapped foot but Behnke is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Serr wants to stand up but Behnke manages to regain full guard. Serr decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Edmund Behnke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Serr circles away from the clinch attempt.
Behnke moves in looking to clinch but Serr pushes him off. Serr tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Behnke paws at him with a jab and circles away. That's two minutes gone in the round. Serr stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Behnke shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Serr decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Behnke's guard. Behnke looks gassed! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Serr slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Serr throwing strikes but missing. Serr trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Serr has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Dan Serr has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Serr decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Behnke trying to control from the bottom.

Serr is looking to clinch. Behnke with a lazy takedown attempt and Serr counters with a nice double leg into side control. Behnke won't be happy with that. Behnke is trying to escape the position but Serr is controlling the position. Behnke is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Serr off and has taken his back! Serr has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Behnke. Serr tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Behnke jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Serr is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Serr and Behnke has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Serr tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Behnke wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Behnke is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Serr is trying to control Behnke's posture but Behnke avoids it. Serr tries to improve position but can't. Serr manages to get back to half guard. Serr tries to get to full guard but Behnke has control of the leg. Behnke is looking to advance position but Serr won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Behnke is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Behnke is trying to work for a kimura but Serr is defending well.
Serr tries to roll over but Behnke keeps him under control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Behnke uses his free foot to push down on Serr's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Serr. Behnke is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Serr is surviving well by controlling Behnke's body position as best he can. Serr tries to reverse the position but Behnke maintains control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Serr is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Behnke looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Serr keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Serr defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Behnke. Behnke punishing his opponent with strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Dan Serr will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Behnke fails with the takedown and Serr counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Serr lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Serr is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Behnke doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Serr. Behnke wants to get back to full guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Serr decides to stand and escape the position. Behnke wants to clinch up but Serr keeps it at a distance. Serr throws a right and a left that Behnke avoids nicely. Serr gets a takedown into half guard. Behnke works his way to full guard. Good work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Serr stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Behnke swivels though and keeps the full guard. Serr trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Behnke manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Behnke stands and throws Serr's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Behnke thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Serr is trying to control Behnke's posture but Behnke avoids it. Behnke is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Serr has escaped the position, nice work there. Serr knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Behnke on the ground. Behnke looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Serr is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Serr on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Serr tries to get out of the position. Serr has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Behnke is working away from the top position though. Behnke works his way into side control. Behnke looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
And that's the end of the fight! Dan Serr showed his dominance in that final round. Well Serr has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
