Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jan Stojkowski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Johnny Sullyvan! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Alec Ball and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sullyvan throws a series of punches but Stojkowski avoids them all with ease. Stojkowski ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Stojkowski misses with a double jab
and Sullyvan counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Sullyvan gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
It looks like Johnny Sullyvan has been cut. Nice defenses there by Stojkowski. Stojkowski tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sullyvan was well out of range. Poor timing from Stojkowski. Stojkowski throws a poor cross that misses
and Sullyvan counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Stojkowski waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Sullyvan. Stojkowski misses with a left hand letting Sullyvan counter with a right hand. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sullyvan looks to score with a jab to the body but Stojkowski is just out of range. Stojkowski wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Sullyvan throws a predictable looking body shot
letting Stojkowski counter with a right hand. Stojkowski connects with a body shot. A slow jab from Sullyvan misses its intended target. Sullyvan showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Stojkowski.
Stojkowski fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Sullyvan avoids the body shot from Stojkowski.
Sullyvan moves forwards but Stojkowski connects with a nice, crisp jab. Stojkowski keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stojkowski throws a hook but Sullyvan avoids it easily. Jab, jab by Sullyvan - just one landing. Stojkowski slips a jab from Sullyvan. Stojkowski misses with a lunging right hand
and Sullyvan counters with a stiff right hand. Stojkowski takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Nice defenses there by Sullyvan. Sullyvan misses with an uppercut
and Stojkowski counters with a straight right hand. A big right from Stojkowski misses. Stojkowski misses with an uppercut
and Sullyvan counters with a thumping low kick. Sullyvan lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Stojkowski at a distance.
Stojkowski takes one to the side of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sullyvan displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Stojkowski throws out the jab. Stojkowski slips under a jab from Sullyvan. Stojkowski throws a right hand that misses
and Sullyvan counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Sullyvan misses with a hook. Stojkowski ducked under it nicely. Sullyvan on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. A jab from Sullyvan does it's job there. Stojkowski gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stojkowski throws a lazy uppercut
and Sullyvan counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Stojkowski is breathing heavily. Stojkowski fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sullyvan manages to avoid it. Stojkowski uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Sullyvan. Stojkowski misses with a right hand and Stojkowski takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Stojkowski swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Stojkowski throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sullyvan. Sullyvan shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Stojkowski eats them both and turns towards Sullyvan to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Stojkowski rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Sullyvan counters with a nice uppercut. Sullyvan lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Sullyvan uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Stojkowski has time to react. Sullyvan closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Stojkowski is rocked! Sullyvan misses with a hook
and Stojkowski counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Oh Stojkowski is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Stojkowski misses with a right hand and Sullyvan counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Stojkowski seems to have got his legs back now. Stojkowski takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Stojkowski gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Sullyvan gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Johnny Sullyvan!
