Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Corey Haim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Jolley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Haim's entrance music is Days. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Corey Haim!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Jolley!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haim throws a series of punches but Jolley avoids them all with ease.
Haim throws a left and a right that both miss
and Jolley counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Haim lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jolley circles away quickly and effectively.
Jolley takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Jolley dodges the punch combination from Haim.

Jolley shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jolley showed some decent athleticism there.

Jolley looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Jolley is trying to control. Haim wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Haim wants to get back to his feet.
Haim trying to hold on to Jolley's head to control him but Jolley postures up.

Jolley is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Haim is just riding it out for now. Jolley eventually gives up the hold.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Haim kicks Jolley off and gets back to his feet.
Jolley throws a leg kick
and Jolley takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Jolley has his takedown stuffed
and Haim counters with a two punch combo.
Jolley throws a sloppy head kick and Haim moves out of range easily.

Haim moves into range and clinches up with Jolley.

Haim turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Jolley manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Jolley is pressing down on Haim's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Jolley escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Haim gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Jolley working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Haim has passed into half guard!
Jolley looks gassed!

Haim is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jolley defends it well.

Jolley tries to roll over but Haim keeps him under control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Haim drops an elbow to the side of Jolley's head.
Haim winds up and cracks Jolley with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Jolley is looking to improve his position.

Haim is looking for a kimura but Jolley is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Haim to get the leverage.

Haim is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Haim connects with a nice short shot to Jolley's temple.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Haim perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Jolley is pressing down on Haim's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Jolley working for a triangle but Haim defends it easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Haim scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Jolley bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Haim's guard.
Haim wants to sweep here but Jolley controlling him for the moment.
Jolley wants to control from the top but Haim keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Corey Haim dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Jolley tries for a takedown but Haim circles away easily

and Haim counters by moving into the clinch.

Haim has hold of one of Jolley's legs. Jolley is fighting the takedown attempt but Haim gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Jolley working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Haim doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Haim manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Jolley looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Jolley is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Haim defends well.
Haim passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Jolley is breathing heavily.
Haim wants to control but Jolley is keeping him busy.
Jolley is trying to get back to half guard.

Haim is looking to take a break and control but Jolley is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Haim is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Jolley has escaped the position, nice work there.
Jolley tries to buck Haim off but Haim is having none of it.
Jolley is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Haim controlling from side mount.
Jolley is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Haim's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Jolley is refusing to be controlled, as Haim sits in half guard.

Haim is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Jolley is looking to improve his position.

Haim has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Jolley defend it? Haim steps over the head and cranks it - Jolley is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Haim!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Corey Haim!
