Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jozo Martini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Woleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mark Woleman is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Jozo Martini! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Mark Woleman! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Martini takes a body punch but keeps moving. Woleman throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Mark Woleman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Woleman misses with a takedown attempt and Martini counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Horrible takedown by Woleman or perhaps it was just good defense by Martini which made him look bad. Woleman misses with a looping right. Martini throws a right and a left that both miss. Woleman misses with the body kick and Martini counters by clinching up. Martini wants to break free but Woleman has control.
Woleman breaks from the clinch.
Woleman lands a nice looking body kick. Woleman shoots in looking for a takedown. Martini tries to sprawl out of it but Woleman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Martini manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Jozo Martini has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Woleman. Martini defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Woleman.
That's one minute gone in the round. Woleman looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Woleman perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Woleman moves nicely into side control. Woleman trying to control the position but Martini is working away. A lull in the action here. Woleman working the ground and pound but Martini is defending the strikes. The referee asks Woleman politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Woleman prefers to stall for the moment though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Martini is trying to get back to half guard. Woleman is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Martini is trying to control Woleman's posture but Woleman avoids it. Woleman working the head and body with strikes. Martini is letting Woleman control him for a moment. It looks like Woleman might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Martini prevents Woleman from improving position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Woleman working the head and body with strikes. Martini is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Martini is looking to regain half guard here but Woleman keeps moving and retains side control. Woleman controls the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Woleman misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Mark Woleman wasn't active enough on the ground. A bone on bone clash there as Martini blocks the leg kick.
Martini displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Woleman throws out the jab. Martini gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Woleman to score an easy takedown into full guard. Woleman is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Woleman dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Martini avoids the body shot from Woleman.
Woleman cracks Martini with an open hand slap. Woleman scores with a sloppy right hand. Martini should have avoided that one. Woleman throws a lazy uppercut
and Martini counters with a nice double leg into guard. Martini throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Woleman pulls Martini in close to prevent any damage. Martini throwing strikes from guard but Woleman blocks nicely. Martini throws a big right hand that misses. Woleman has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Martini being controlled here momentarily. Martini trying to move into half guard but instead Woleman has managed to sweep!
That's one minute gone in the round. Woleman throws and elbow that misses. Martini uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Woleman's guard. Nice move by Martini! Martini lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Woleman bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Martini's guard. Martini on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Martini tries to get out of the position. Woleman trying to control the position from guard on top but Martini is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Woleman might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Martini kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Woleman controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Woleman pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Martini is keeping the position for now. Woleman trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Martini is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Woleman throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Woleman lands with a shot to the body. A shot to the body from Woleman misses and Martini cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Woleman closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Woleman stalling.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Woleman looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Martini blocking the ground and pound attempt from Woleman. Martini has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Woleman is working away from the top position though. Martini is looking for a sweep. Woleman is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Martini might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Woleman's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Mark Woleman hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Woleman doesn't succeed with the takedown and Woleman takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Mark Woleman will probably get the nod - 10:9. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Woleman shoots in looking for a takedown but Martini manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Woleman's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Martini working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Woleman looking to hit a scissor sweep but Martini is one step ahead there. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Martini accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Martini wants to stand but Woleman is controlling the position. Martini avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Martini keeping moving, preventing Woleman from controlling successfully. Woleman slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Mark Woleman is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Woleman misses with a takedown attempt and Martini makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Jozo Martini has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Woleman takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Martini working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Martini postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Martini passes into half guard. Martini throwing shots but Woleman is blocking nicely. Martini tries to pass the half guard into mount. Woleman knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Jozo Martini has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Martini looks to land a strike but Woleman avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Woleman manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Woleman content just to control the position here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Martini is desperately trying to improve his position but Woleman has a good base and remains in mount.
And that's the end of the fight! Jozo Martini showed his dominance in that final round. I think Woleman has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
