Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nick Diaz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bruce Lee! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz throws a right hand that Lee ducks under and follows up with a left that Lee also avoids with ease. Lee scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Still in half guard, Lee seems content to control. Diaz is trying to control but can't.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Bruce Lee hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. A low kick from Lee is predictable there and Diaz counters with a nice uppercut. Lee throws a sloppy body shot
and Diaz counters with a two punch combo. Lee scores with a takedown into Diaz's guard. Diaz keeping moving, preventing Lee from controlling successfully. Diaz wants to stand and escape but Lee is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lee content to stall in guard here. Diaz looking for a guillotine here but Lee defends easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Diaz wants to get back to his feet but Lee is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Lee is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Diaz keeping moving, preventing Lee from controlling successfully.
Bruce Lee has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Lee throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Diaz's waist but Diaz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lee off to one side. Lee decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Diaz on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Diaz is trying to maintain the position but Lee is very close to passing his half guard. Lee prevents Diaz from improving his position. Lee not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Diaz wants to control but Lee is keeping busy.

Bruce Lee dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Diaz avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Diaz looking for a sweep. Not yet Diaz, not yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We're going to have a standup here because Nick Diaz wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Lee shoots for a double leg takedown but Diaz sprawls well. He's pushed Lee's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Lee closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Lee lands in his opponent's guard. Diaz trying to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diaz looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lee is one step ahead there. Diaz is working hard here to advance position. Diaz is trying to keep Lee in close.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Diaz will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Lee throws a leg kick and Diaz connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Lee is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Diaz's half guard. Lee trying to control the pace. Diaz slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lee trying to control but Diaz is working from the bottom. Lee is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Diaz looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Bruce Lee wasn't active enough on the ground. Lee bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Lee wants to lay and pray for a moment but Diaz keeps working. You can see the frustration on Diaz's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bruce Lee showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Lee misses with a takedown and Diaz counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Lee takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Lee lands a nice looking body shot.

Lee misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Nick Diaz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bruce Lee.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lee misses with a takedown and Diaz counters with a series of strikes. Lee will be more careful next time no doubt. Diaz throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lee. Diaz swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Diaz works over Lee's head and body with a nice combination. Diaz throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Lee counters with a nice double leg into side control. Diaz won't be happy with that. Lee happy to just control the position for now.

Diaz tries to bum rush Lee with a series of wild strikes but Lee uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Lee shoots for a double leg takedown but Diaz sprawls well. He's pushed Lee's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Lee throws a head kick that misses and Diaz counters with a left and a right that stings Lee. Lee wants to clinch but Diaz slips to the side and Diaz counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Nick Diaz is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Lee is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Diaz. Lee throws a left and a right that both miss
and Diaz counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Lee is lucky that one didn't land flush. Bruce Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Diaz throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Diaz thuds his right hand into Lee's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Diaz throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Nick Diaz has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Bruce Lee is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Lee misses with a takedown attempt and Diaz counters with a nice uppercut.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Nick Diaz. I think Lee has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
