The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riley tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Vares manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Good leg kick by Riley there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Vares connects with a good right hand that stumbles Riley. Riley circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Vares takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Riley throws a head kick that misses.
Riley on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Riley thows a left - swing and a miss!
Riley lands with a thumping leg kick.
Vares scores with a hook to the body. Riley takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Riley is still on wobbly legs! Can Vares finish him?
Riley misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Vares finds Riley's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Riley flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Vares lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Riley will be OK.
