Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Samuel Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kirby Jay Navarro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Samuel Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kirby Jay Navarro! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Navarro did well to prevent Jackson getting side control. Jackson not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Jackson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Well, if Jackson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Jackson missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Jackson keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Navarro tries to roll over but Jackson keeps him under control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Well, if Jackson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Jackson throwing shots but Navarro is blocking nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Navarro avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Jackson. Jackson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Jackson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Jackson is figuring out what he wants to do next.
We're going to have a standup here because Samuel Jackson wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Navarro has his takedown stuffed and Jackson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Navarro! Jackson controlling his opponent. Jackson goes for an armbar but Navarro turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Navarro.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Navarro has gone for a leg lock! Jackson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Navarro's guard. Jackson stands up from guard. Let's bang! Jackson misses with a jab, cross combination.
Navarro connects with a leg kick. Jackson looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Navarro misses with a body punch
and Jackson counters with a takedown into side control. Jackson has knee on belly and moves into mount. Navarro looks gassed! Jackson with the ground and pound from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Navarro is desperately trying to improve his position but Jackson has a good base and remains in mount. Jackson connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Jackson is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Navarro can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Jackson looking to finish Navarro with some ground and pound. This is bad for Navarro! Jackson controlling the pace for now. Jackson is landing with some decent strikes but Navarro is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jackson unloading with bombs! Jackson looking to control and managing it successfully. A nice elbow there by Jackson. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jackson looking to control and managing it successfully. Jackson wants to finish this one by submission but Navarro is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Jackson. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Samuel Jackson dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Jackson Rushes Navarro and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Navarro is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Jackson Piles on the pressure and Navarro crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
