Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kenjiro Tanaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Krejzi Madafaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Tanaka might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Seek and Destroy. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenjiro Tanaka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Krejzi Madafaka!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Kenichi Hosakawa and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tanaka misses with a left hand
and Madafaka counters with a straight right hand.


It looks like Kenjiro Tanaka has been cut.

Tanaka keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Madafaka shoots in looking for a takedown but Tanaka manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Madafaka's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

and Madafaka counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tanaka wants to stand but Madafaka is controlling the position.

We're going to have a standup here because Kenjiro Tanaka wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Madafaka shoots in looking for a takedown but Tanaka manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Madafaka's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Kenjiro Tanaka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Krejzi Madafaka.
Madafaka misses with a takedown attempt - Tanaka sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

and Madafaka counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Tanaka wants to stand up but Madafaka is controlling him.

Madafaka stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tanaka swivels though and keeps the full guard.

and Madafaka counters with a shoot takedown. Tanaka fights it but they end up in guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Madafaka is standing up over Tanaka. Tanaka looks to escape but Madafaka dives into side control.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
It looks like Madafaka might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Tanaka is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Madafaka has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Madafaka counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Tanaka's guard now.
Madafaka is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Kenjiro Tanaka wasn't doing enough on the ground.

and Madafaka counters with a takedown into side control.

Tanaka is looking to stand up but Madafaka isn't so interested in that idea.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Kenjiro Tanaka.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Madafaka gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Tanaka gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
