Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tatsuya Kimura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takesho Lau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kimura comes to the cage accompanied by Cautionary Warning. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kimura slips a jab and a cross from Lau.
An inside leg kick lands from Lau.

Kimura is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Lau's half guard.

Kimura stands up and beckons Lau to join him on the feet.

Lau feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Lau is staying active underneath Kimura, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kimura connects with a nice short shot to Lau's temple.

Lau is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kimura's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kimura's back!

Lau jumps guard and drags Kimura to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Kimura is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Lau can't fight it off and eventually Kimura manages to take the fight to the floor. Lau looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Kimura shoots and misses
and Lau counters with a head kick.
Kimura pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kimura shoots in looking for a takedown. Lau tries to sprawl out of it but Kimura keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lau manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Lau lets loose with a powerful body kick. Kimura will feel that in the morning.

Lau moves into the clinch.

Kimura turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Kimura manages to end up in side control.
Lau is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Kimura's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Kimura knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lau on the ground.

Lau moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Kimura in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Lau manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kimura manages to get himself to full guard.

Lau decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Kimura, up you get!
Kimura explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Kimura tries to close the distance and clinch but Lau swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Lau's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Lau fails with the takedown.
Kimura closes the distance and clinches up with Lau, looking for a takedown. Kimura pushes Lau against the cage but Lau circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tatsuya Kimura. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lau looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kimura is fending him off so far but Lau persists. Nope, Kimura circles away and we're back to standing.
Tatsuya Kimura is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Kimura shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Lau napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kimura decides to stand back up. Kimura steps back and let's Lau get back to his feet.

Kimura wants to take a breather but Lau is having none of it.
Kimura wants to stand up but Lau has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Lau is trying to maintain the position but Kimura is very close to passing his half guard.
Tatsuya Kimura is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Lau wants to get back to full guard.

Kimura is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lau defends it well.
Lau is doing well to control the position and prevent Kimura from advancing to side control.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Lau pushes Kimura off looking to stand but Kimura dives back in and keeps control.

Lau is concentrating on defense, preventing Kimura from advancing position.
