Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frank Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and General Scorcher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Frank Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, General Scorcher!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Skip Squint and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Scorcher fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Williams sprawls well initially but Scorcher persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Williams is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Scorcher jumps into side control!
Scorcher is looking to take a break and control but Williams is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Williams misses with a strike from the bottom.
Williams is not content to let Scorcher control the position.
Scorcher might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Williams kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Scorcher scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Williams is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Scorcher uses his free foot to push down on Williams's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Williams.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Scorcher is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Scorcher manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Williams manages to get himself to full guard.

Scorcher gets to his feet - Williams follows without any prompting.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

General Scorcher dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Williams shoots in and bounces Scorcher off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Scorcher manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Scorcher wants to finish this one by submission but Williams is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Scorcher.

Williams is trying to reverse the position but instead Scorcher has taken his back - oops!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Scorcher tries to get the hooks in deep but Williams pushed the leg off.

Can Williams hold on?! Scorcher is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.

Scorcher is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Scorcher gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Scorcher gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Scorcher apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Scorcher shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Williams napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Williams throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.

Scorcher decides to stand back up. Scorcher steps back and let's Williams get back to his feet.

Scorcher gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Williams to score an easy takedown into full guard.

General Scorcher showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Scorcher is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Williams!

Williams is bucking up trying to escape but Scorcher cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Williams has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Scorcher controlling well, preventing Williams from escaping the position.
Williams manages to reverse the position and now he's in Scorcher's guard. Nice work there by Williams.
Williams postures up in Scorcher's guard and throws a big left but Scorcher blocks it.
Williams is in close to Scorcher's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Scorcher is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Williams accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Williams cracks Scorcher with a solid left hand.
Williams in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Williams throws and elbow that misses. Scorcher uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Williams's guard. Nice move by Scorcher!

Scorcher thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Scorcher wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Williams, who protects the arm well.

General Scorcher comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Scorcher has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
