Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Manu Vatuvei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Admiral Proudmoore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Admiral Proudmoore will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Manu Vatuvei! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Admiral Proudmoore! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Steve Erwin and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vatuvei with a lazy takedown attempt and Proudmoore counters with a shoot takedown. Vatuvei fights it but they end up in guard. Proudmoore trying to move into half guard but instead Vatuvei has managed to sweep! Vatuvei trying to control but Proudmoore is working from the bottom. Vatuvei thows a big elbow that misses. Proudmoore really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vatuvei. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Vatuvei showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Proudmoore wants to stand and escape but Vatuvei is having none of it. Proudmoore keeping moving, preventing Vatuvei from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vatuvei is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
We're going to have a standup here because Manu Vatuvei wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Proudmoore tries to close the distance and clinch but Vatuvei swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Proudmoore closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Vatuvei quickly recovers to half guard. Vatuvei is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Proudmoore is working for a submission of some sort.
Proudmoore is working for a kimura but Vatuvei is defending it quite comfortably.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Vatuvei makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Vatuvei. Vatuvei has his foot on Proudmoore's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Proudmoore works his way back into a safe position though. Vatuvei manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Proudmoore manages to get himself to full guard.
Vatuvei stops Proudmoore from standing up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Proudmoore wants to get back to his feet but Vatuvei passes into half guard.
Vatuvei is trying for a kimura here. Proudmoore looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Vatuvei wins by kimura!
