The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDonald falls off balance throwing a combination
and Ainvaihees connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ainvaihees.
A decent looking cross lands there for McDonald.
It looks like Alexei Ainvaihees has been cut.
Ainvaihees slips under a jab from McDonald.
McDonald circles away from the clinch attempt.

and Ainvaihees counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Ainvaihees.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Ainvaihees stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McDonald swivels though and keeps the full guard.

McDonald bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ainvaihees's guard.
Ainvaihees not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Ainvaihees will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Ainvaihees has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Ainvaihees pulls McDonald in close to his closed guard and prevents McDonald from doing any damage or advancing position.

McDonald looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Ainvaihees covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
