PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Wells Dengel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kirill Dostoevsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dengel's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Come to Daddy. Dostoevsky comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Rush- Tom Sawyer kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Wells Dengel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kirill Dostoevsky !
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Hugh Johnson and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dengel throws a leg kick which misses Dostoevsky 's front leg but catches the back leg as Dostoevsky tries to avoid it.
Dostoevsky throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

and Dostoevsky counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Dengel feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Dostoevsky 's calf.
Dostoevsky on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Dengel. Dengel obviously looking to wear him down.

Dostoevsky feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dengel, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
