The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Patrick Alders and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Baracael lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Cruz has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Cruz and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Cruz seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Baracael does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cruz accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Baracael changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cruz tries to avoid it but Baracael manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cruz to the ground. Cruz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cruz catches Baracael with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

and Cruz cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Cruz throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Cruz fails with the takedown
and Baracael counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Cruz's guard now.
Cruz looking for a triangle here. Baracael is fighting it but it looks tight! Cruz pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Baracael is tapping out - this one is all over!
