The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bortsuha with a poor takedown
letting Franco counter with a right hand.

and Franco cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Bortsuha gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Franco connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Eddie Franco has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zver Bortsuha.

Franco drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

and Franco counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Bortsuha's guard now.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Franco accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Franco reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Franco taps out! nice BJJ there by Bortsuha!
