The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ovareem jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Ovareem throws a jab but it's blocked by Maynard.
Ovareem throws an off balance right hand
and Ovareem takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That kick from Maynard tenderised Ovareem's leg. Ovareem is trying to keep his angry face on.
Ovareem really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Maynard throws a head kick but Ovareem moves out of range.

Maynard fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Ovareem has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Maynard lands a big head kick that sends Ovareem tumbling to the mat! Maynard takes a step backwards and waves Ovareem back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Maynard connects with an inside leg kick.
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Maynard throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Ovareem is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
