Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Carlo Labayen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Greg Jackson!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crunch! Labayen slams his shin into Jackson's torso.
Labayen stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Labayen wants it to stay on the feet.

Labayen moves into the clinch.

Labayen pulls guard successfully.
Labayen wants to sweep here but Jackson controlling him for the moment.
Jackson throwing strikes but missing.
Jackson looking to pass the guard.
Labayen keeping moving, preventing Jackson from controlling successfully.

Labayen pulls Jackson in to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Jackson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Labayen is keeping the position for now.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Jackson misses with a takedown attempt

and Labayen moves into the clinch.

Labayen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jackson tries for a takedown but Labayen circles away easily
and Labayen counters with a left and a right that stings Jackson.
Carlo Labayen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Greg Jackson.
Labayen shoots in looking for a takedown. Jackson tries to sprawl out of it but Labayen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jackson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Labayen scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The strikes coming from Labayen are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Jackson can't do much from the bottom here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Labayen is trying to get an arm triangle but Jackson is defending well.

Labayen is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jackson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Jackson is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Jackson wants to get back to full guard.
Labayen lands with a punch from half guard.

Jackson controlling the position well.
Jackson is looking to control Labayen's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jackson avoid being mounted?
Labayen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Greg Jackson has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Labayen has his takedown stuffed

and Jackson counters with a single leg into guard. Labayen didn't expect that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Labayen keeping moving, preventing Jackson from controlling successfully.
Jackson might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Labayen kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Labayen wants to sweep here but Jackson controlling him for the moment.
Jackson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Carlo Labayen dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Jackson slaps away a takedown attempt from Labayen, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Labayen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jackson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Labayen scores with a head kick. Jackson tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.


It looks like Greg Jackson has been cut.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown but Labayen shows good takedown defense.
Jackson fails with the takedown
and Labayen counters with a flying knee that drops Jackson! Labayen dives in and finishes the fight with a flurry of strikes from the mount!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Carlo Labayen!
