The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schultz gets the takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Geller is being controlled here.
Schultz is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Geller knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Schultz tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Schultz thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Schultz advances to full mount.

Geller is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Schultz takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
It looks like Schultz might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Let's hope that Schultz has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Mikey Schultz has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Geller throws a right hand that Schultz ducks under and follows up with a left that Schultz also avoids with ease.
Schultz shoots in and gets a takedown into Geller's guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Schultz gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Geller tries to clinch there but Schultz circles away.
Schultz shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Geller napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Schultz has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Geller!

Schultz fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Geller sprawls well initially but Schultz persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Schultz has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Geller is in real trouble here. Schultz gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Geller is tapping out! Schultz wins by rear naked choke!
