PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Panzer Grenadier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien Satan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grenadier comes into the arena with Esaka '96 blaring out of the sound system. Satan is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Bullet For My Valentine - Hit The Floor. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Panzer Grenadier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Damien Satan!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Satan jabs Grenadier to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Grenadier misses with a leg kick
and Satan counters with a nice body kick.
Grenadier misses with the body kick
and Satan counters with a big head kick but Grenadier shrugs it off.
Satan lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Satan shoots in looking for a takedown. Grenadier tries to sprawl out of it but Satan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Grenadier manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Satan throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Grenadier was covering up waiting for the punch and Satan finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Grenadier is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Satan is controlling him.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Grenadier pushes Satan off and scrambles back to his feet.
Satan misses with a takedown
and Grenadier counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Satan has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Grenadier.
Grenadier throws a leg kick
and Satan counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Grenadier!
Satan prevents Grenadier from getting the reversal.
Satan misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Satan takes Grenadier's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Grenadier is in trouble.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Satan's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Grenadier trying to control but not successfully.
Satan is looking to control Grenadier but Grenadier is wriggling around and keeping busy.
Grenadier turns into Satan and is now in his guard.
Satan is looking to sinch up a triangle. Grenadier throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Satan's body to avoid the submission. Satan has instead reached around Grenadier's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Satan arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Damien Satan!
