Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jesus Christ (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Christ might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to All that Heavenly Glory. Nelson has chosen AFI - Totalimmortal as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Christ shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Christ was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Nelson slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Christ working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Nelson wants to improve his position but Christ is controlling well.
Christ trying to mount his opponent but Nelson defends it.

Christ won't allow Nelson to sweep him here.
Christ thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Christ drops back looking for a leg! Nelson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Nelson manages to kick Christ off! Christ jumps back into Nelson's guard.
Christ postures up in Nelson's guard and throws a big left but Nelson blocks it.

Christ wants to pass the guard but Nelson is keeping the position.
Nelson isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Christ stacks Nelson on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Christ!
Christ is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Nelson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Christ working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Nelson manages to work his way to half guard, despite Christ's best efforts.

Christ closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
