Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hello Chippy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Viktor Kulakov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kulakov has chosen Lube-Shparu as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hello Chippy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Viktor Kulakov!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chippy shoots and misses
and Kulakov counters with a stiff right hand.
Kulakov fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kulakov looks to land a left hand but Chippy moved out of range nicely.
Kulakov takes a swing at Chippy's ribcage but misses.
Kulakov throws a lazy right hand but Chippy sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Kulakov throws a nice looking combination but Chippy bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Kulakov scores with a crisp jab that stopped Chippy in his tracks.
Chippy shoots in but Kulakov avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Chippy misses with a takedown attempt - Kulakov sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hello Chippy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kulakov missing with a left hand there. Chippy was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Chippy tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kulakov sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Chippy somewhat.
A jab from Kulakov does it's job there.

Chippy shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kulakov is trying to defend but Chippy finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Kulakov is looking to escape.

Chippy is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kulakov doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Chippy.

Chippy is looking for a kimura but Kulakov is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Chippy to get the leverage.
Kulakov looks like he's trying to stand up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Kulakov is trying to stand up here but Chippy is controlling him well.

Kulakov has one foot on Chippy's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Kulakov misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

and Chippy counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Kulakov!
Chippy is breathing heavily.
Kulakov squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Kulakov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chippy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kulakov is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kulakov can do anything to dispel that myth.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Chippy looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Chippy swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Kulakov is now in Chippy's guard. A big mistake from Chippy there, giving up the dominant position!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kulakov in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Kulakov lands a couple of elbows.
Kulakov slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Chippy is working an open guard so Kulakov takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Kulakov scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kulakov throws a jab when Chippy was well out of range.
Kulakov throws a hook to the side of Chippy's head but Chippy sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Kulakov fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Chippy on the side of the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Viktor Kulakov dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Kulakov connects with a combination that backs up Chippy into the cage. Kulakov lands a flurry of punches that gets past Chippy's guard. Chippy is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Kulakov bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Viktor Kulakov!
