The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pace lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Erta Ale circles away quickly and effectively.
Pace fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Erta Ale manages to avoid it.
Pace pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Pace bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Erta Ale is trying to control Pace's posture but Pace avoids it.
Pace working the strikes but Erta Ale uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Erta Ale is trying to maintain the position but Pace is very close to passing his half guard.
Pace wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Erta Ale uses the opportunity to regain full guard.
Erta Ale manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pace defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
