Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jay Hudson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Eggson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Jay Hudson has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jay Hudson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Carl Eggson! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Ackerman and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hudson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Eggson. Hudson fails to land with a series of punches.
Eggson feints and as Hudson raises his hands in defense, Eggson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Eggson controls the pace of the fight for a moment. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Hudson wants to get back to his feet but Eggson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Carl Eggson was stalling too much, according to the referee. Eggson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Eggson gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Eggson is in close to Hudson's body, working some short punches and elbows.
That's one minute gone in the round. Eggson stopping the sweep attempt from Hudson. Eggson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Hudson working a defensive guard but Eggson manages to pass into side control anyway.
Eggson lands a decent elbow from side control. Eggson has hold of Hudson's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Hudson tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Eggson cranks the arm and Hudson screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Hudson, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Carl Eggson!
