And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rafael Gotti!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gotti displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Never Faulter throws out the jab.
Never Faulter listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Never Faulter jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Never Faulter misses with the combination.
Walter Never Faulter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Never Faulter throws a half hearted mid kick.
Never Faulter loads up on a big right hand but Gotti slips the punch.
Never Faulter looks to score with a jab to the body but Gotti is just out of range.
Never Faulter looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gotti is fending him off so far but Never Faulter persists. Nope, Gotti circles away and we're back to standing.
Gotti dodges the punch combination from Never Faulter.
Never Faulter misses with a few strikes there.
Never Faulter throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Never Faulter lands a with a good body shot.
Never Faulter misses with a body shot.
Never Faulter pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Gotti has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Never Faulter misses with a wild body shot.
No joy there for Never Faulter, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Never Faulter swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Never Faulter cracks Gotti with a right hand to the side of the head.
Never Faulter fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gotti manages to avoid it.
Gotti has his takedown stuffed

and Never Faulter counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Gotti preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Never Faulter wants to control from the top but Gotti keeps moving.
Never Faulter won't allow Gotti to sweep him here.

Never Faulter stands up and waves to Gotti to follow him.
Gotti looks gassed!

Gotti decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Never Faulter wants to improve his position but Gotti is controlling well.

Gotti is trying to work for a kimura but Never Faulter is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Never Faulter missing with punches from the bottom.

Gotti blocks the strikes from Never Faulter.
Never Faulter makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Never Faulter.

Never Faulter working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gotti doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gotti manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Gotti advances to half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Never Faulter regains full guard. Nicely done.

Gotti drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Never Faulter dives on top into guard.

Gotti lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Never Faulter!

Gotti is working to isolate an arm here. It's a choreographed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Gotti extends the arm and Never Faulter is forced to tap!
