Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Thomas More (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Douglas Quaid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quaid has chosen Metallica - For Whom the Bell Tolls as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Thomas More! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Douglas Quaid! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Aleksandr Martynov and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quaid shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches More napping and manages to drive through into side control! More tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Quaid controlling from the full mount. More tries to buck Quaid off but he can't manage it. Quaid thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. More wants to get back to his feet.
More knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Quaid on the ground. Quaid takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Quaid raining down hammerfists from mount. More is trying to stand but he's just given Quaid his back. More looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. Quaid biding his time, controlling More. More is trying to stand back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Quaid is landing with strikes from the back. A bit of a pause in the action here. Quaid controlling the positon. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. More wants to get back to his feet. Quaid is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
More is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Quaid gets his way!
Quaid biding his time, controlling More. Quaid is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at More. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.
That's two minutes gone in the round. More is trying to stand back up. Quaid lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns More.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Quaid is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Quaid gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Quaid gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Quaid apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Nice cross by Quaid. Quaid sizes up More with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Quaid swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and More counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. More throws a left and a right that both miss
and Quaid counters with a nice double leg into guard. Quaid throwing strikes but missing. More being controlled here, momentarily. Quaid trying to control the position from guard on top but More is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Quaid is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Quaid throws a big right hand that misses. More wants to stand and escape but Quaid is having none of it.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Douglas Quaid wasn't active enough on the ground. More avoids the body shot from Quaid.
More slaps away a takedown attempt from Quaid, before circling back to the center of the mat. Quaid shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. More eats them both and turns towards Quaid to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
That's four minutes gone in the round. More misses with a combination
and Quaid counters with a one-two to the body. More misses with a double jab
and Quaid counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps More thinking. A looping hook to the body misses from Quaid. More does a little dance to reset his feet. Quaid's corner calls for a 1-2. Quaid obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. More throws a lazy uppercut
and Quaid counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Quaid lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. More misses with a double jab
and Quaid counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Quaid lands a slapping body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Douglas Quaid dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

A combination from More does no damage. More throws a left and a right that both miss
and Quaid counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Quaid is trying hard to land a takedown here. More sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Quaid fakes high and swings low for a body shot but More manages to avoid it. Quaid throws out a powerful jab. Quaid dives in and grabs More's left leg, looking for a takedown. More pushes down on Quaid's head and hops out. Quaid thows a body shot but no joy. Quaid misses the shot to the body. Quaid with a hook. More throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Quaid connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. More misses with a combination

That's one minute gone in the round. Quaid tries for a takedown but More sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Thomas More has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Douglas Quaid. More scores with a one two! Quaid had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Quaid ducks down and throws a hook to the body but More moves away. More keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. More takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

and Quaid counters with a three punch combo that has More backing up. More nods at Quaid to acknowledge the strikes. Quaid throws a predictable looking body shot
and More counters with a nice uppercut. More misses with a combination
and Quaid counters with a nice double leg into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Quaid seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Douglas Quaid has got the better of the ground game so far. More is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Quaid passes More's left leg - he's now in half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Quaid in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. More tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Quaid!
