Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stanko Velilkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Aerts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Stanko Velilkov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Peter Aerts! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aerts throws a half hearted mid kick. Aerts misses with the body kick and Velilkov counters with a stiff right hand. Aerts doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Velilkov uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Aerts.
Aerts looks to throw a body kick and Velilkov counters with a three punch combo that has Aerts backing up. Aerts nods at Velilkov to acknowledge the strikes. Velilkov takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Aerts fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Velilkov checks it well. Aerts looks for the body kick but Velilkov saw that one coming. Peter Aerts seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Velilkov lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Aerts backs up against the ropes.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Velilkov staying out of range there. No luck for Velilkov with that takedown attempt. Velilkov blocks a low kick nicely. Aerts scores with a nice head shot. Aerts throws a half hearted mid kick. Aerts tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Velilkov seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Aerts does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Velilkov wants to advance to full mount but Aerts doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Velilkov throwing strikes but missing.

Aerts is keeping the position for now. Velilkov slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Aerts managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Velilkov.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Velilkov throws a strike aimed at the side of Aerts's head but Aerts avoids it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Aerts avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Velilkov. Velilkov in side control, just content to control the action for now. Aerts is working to avoid the ground and pound but Velilkov connects with a decent elbow. The strikes coming from Velilkov are missing the target in this wave of attacks. A lull in the action here as Velilkov stalls from top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Velilkov wants to control but Aerts is keeping him busy. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. The ground and pound from Velilkov seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Aerts throws a combination that misses and Velilkov counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Aerts is breathing heavily. Velilkov throws a strike but Aerts rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Velilkov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Velilkov wants to sweep but no luck.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Velilkov has Aerts pulled in close to control his posture. Aerts stopping the sweep attempt from Velilkov. Velilkov is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jab, jab by Velilkov - just one landing. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Aerts lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Velilkov has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Velilkov and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Aerts misses the shot to the body. Aerts misses the body punch and Velilkov counters with a takedown into side control. Aerts regains half guard there - taking advantage of Velilkov's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Velilkov is pressing down on Aerts's thigh, looking to free his foot. Aerts is holding on for now. Velilkov not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Aerts looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Aerts keeping full guard, as Velilkov tries to pass. Velilkov engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Velilkov gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Aerts misses with an attempted mid kick.
Aerts throws a lazy body kick and Velilkov counters with a shoot takedown. Aerts fights it but they end up in guard. Velilkov postures up in Aerts's guard and throws a big left but Aerts blocks it. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Velilkov lands a nice hook to Aerts's body. Aerts takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Velilkov shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Aerts counters with a lovely straight right hand!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Velilkov avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Velilkov fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Aerts, pushing him back against the ropes. Velilkov goes for a takedown in the clinch but Aerts prevents it.
Aerts escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Velilkov moves out of range as Aerts strikes. Peter Aerts has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Velilkov is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Aerts can do to turn this around? Velilkov misses with a double jab
and Aerts counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. A momentary lapse in concentration from Aerts enables Velilkov to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Aerts manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Velilkov trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Aerts manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Velilkov is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
And that's the end of the fight! Stanko Velilkov showed his dominance in that final round. Well Velilkov has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
