Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between George Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shamar Liddel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Taylor throws a lazy head kick and Liddel counters with a nice uppercut. Liddel misses with a takedown attempt and Taylor counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Liddel wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Liddel's face as he tries to break the clinch. Taylor pulls guard. Taylor is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Taylor wants to sweep here but Liddel controlling him for the moment. Liddel looking to pass the guard. Liddel stopping the sweep attempt from Taylor. Taylor controls Liddel momentarily but Liddel frees himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
We're going to have a standup here because George Taylor wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Taylor decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Taylor gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Liddel misses with a takedown and Taylor holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Taylor is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Taylor blocks an elbow strike from Liddel.

Taylor pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Liddel tumbling to the mat - Taylor dives into Liddel's guard. Taylor is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

The ref stands the fighters back up because George Taylor just wasn't active enough. Liddel fails to land with a series of punches.
Taylor pushes Liddel up against the cage in a clinch. Liddel is trying to break free. Taylor keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Liddel's efforts to push away. Liddel looks gassed! Taylor pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. A left and a right from Liddel both land. Nice combination. Liddel tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Taylor counters with a takedown into side control. Liddel is not content to let Taylor control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Taylor stands up and we're back to a striking position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Taylor takes the fight into the clinch. Liddel wants to break free but Taylor has control.
Liddel lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Liddel misses with a short punch on the inside. Liddel is trying to break the clinch but Taylor has him pressed against the cage. Taylor stalling in the clinch.
Liddel tries to circle away but Taylor has him pinned against the cage. Liddel looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Taylor keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Liddel's efforts to push away. Taylor ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Taylor no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Taylor not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Taylor has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Liddel off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Taylor clinches up with Liddel and pushes him back against the cage. Taylor avoiding damage.

Liddel pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Taylor is keeping the position for now. Liddel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Taylor. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Liddel is breathing heavily. Liddel postures up in Taylor's guard and throws a big left but Taylor blocks it. Taylor trying to keep a closed guard but Liddel is proving a slippery customer.
Taylor bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Liddel's guard. Taylor trying to control the position from guard on top but Liddel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Taylor looking to pass the guard. Liddel seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Taylor stands up from Liddel's guard - Taylor perhaps looking for a knockout. Taylor has taken the fight to the clinch.
Taylor is trying to break the clinch but Liddel is controlling him. Taylor has picked Liddel up - he's going for a ride! Taylor dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Taylor missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Taylor is looking to stall here but Liddel recovers full guard. Taylor gets to his feet. Liddel looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Taylor avoids a punch combination nicely.
Taylor throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Liddel was covering up waiting for the punch and Taylor finishes the takedown easily into guard. Taylor wants to control from the top but Liddel keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Taylor pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Liddel is keeping the position for now. Taylor scoring with punches to the head and body. Taylor looking to sit in guard and control but Liddel gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Taylor wants to get back to his feet but Liddel is in a dominant position and won't allow it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
George Taylor dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Liddel with a poor takedown and Taylor counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Taylor. Liddel wants to stand and escape but Taylor is having none of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Taylor trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Taylor works a leg free and moves into half guard. Taylor controlling the pace. Liddel taking some punishment here, with Taylor in his half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Taylor is keen to just control but Liddel is a slippery customer. Taylor works his foot free and advances to mount. Liddel takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taylor trying to control but Liddel is having none of it. Taylor tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Taylor is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Liddel to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Liddel shrugs it off. Liddel is trying to stand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Liddel is looking to get to half guard. George Taylor overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Taylor scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Liddel?

That's three minutes gone in the round. Taylor trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Liddel holding both Taylor 's hands and preventing any damage. You can see the frustration on Liddel's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Liddel looking very determined here, making life difficult for Taylor.
Liddel is covering up but some of the strikes from Taylor are getting through and doing damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Taylor's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Taylor looking for the choke but no joy. Taylor tries to get the hooks in deep but Liddel pushed the leg off.
And that's the end of the fight! George Taylor showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Taylor, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
