Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Henry Chinaski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roy Brown!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Russell Pearce and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown misses with a jab to the body
and Chinaski counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.


It looks like Roy Brown has been cut.
Chinaski lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Brown slips a jab from Chinaski.
Brown throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Brown is trying hard to land a takedown here. Chinaski sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Brown dodges the punch combination from Chinaski.
Brown throws a leg kick which misses Chinaski's front leg but catches the back leg as Chinaski tries to avoid it.

Chinaski fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Brown looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Chinaski lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

and Brown counters with a good low kick that Chinaski was not able to check.

Henry Chinaski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brown moves out of range as Chinaski strikes.
Chinaski feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Brown's calf.
Chinaski lands with a hook. Brown tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Chinaski throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Brown.

The fighters circling - Chinaski throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Chinaski takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Chinaski misses with a few strikes there.

Chinaski tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Brown is able to avoid easily.

and Brown counters with a good low kick that Chinaski was not able to check.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Brown closes the distance and clinches up with Chinaski, looking for a takedown. Brown pushes Chinaski against the cage but Chinaski circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Brown fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Chinaski avoids it really well and circles away.
Chinaski misses with a few strikes there.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Brown shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Chinaski manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Brown trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Brown postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Brown trying to control but Chinaski is working from the bottom.
Brown is pushing down on Chinaski's leg trying to pass to half guard. Chinaski is fighting to maintain full guard but Brown has managed to sneak the leg through.
Chinaski is staying active underneath Brown, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Chinaski is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Brown is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Chinaski tried to score with a low kick but Brown checks it.

Brown uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Chinaski.
Henry Chinaski is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Chinaski throws a right and a left that both miss.
Chinaski misses with the combination.
Brown closes the distance and clinches up with Chinaski, looking for a takedown. Brown pushes Chinaski against the cage but Chinaski circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
