Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Triton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paul Penn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Triton! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, John Kavanagh and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Triton drives through with a takedown into guard. Triton slips nicely into half guard. Penn pushes Triton off looking to stand but Triton dives back in and keeps control.
Triton is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Penn has managed to free his arm - good work. Triton prevents Penn from improving his position. Triton is looking for a kimura but Penn is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Triton to get the leverage. Penn is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Triton's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Triton's back! Triton is trying to stand back up. Penn throwing sloppy strikes. Penn throwing wild punches that miss their target. Triton trying to control the hands but Penn won't let him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Penn is punishing Triton with strikes - can he finish him?! Penn throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage. Triton tries to roll but Penn sticks to his back.
Triton tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! A nice elbow there by Penn. Penn lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Penn landing strikes, looking to finish! Penn landing punches. Penn trying to control but Triton is having none of it. Penn prevents Triton from getting the reversal. Triton is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. BOOM! Penn connects with a massive shot to the dome!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Triton blocking the ground and pound. Penn looking to isolate an arm here. Triton doesn't see it coming and as Penn extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Penn!
