Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roger Cavallera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ed Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roger Cavallera! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ed Silva! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Daniel Cesar and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cavallera shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Cavallera is trying to control the action in half guard but Silva is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Cavallera stops Silva from getting back to his feet.
Cavallera wants to take a breather but Silva is having none of it. Cavallera is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Silva is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Cavallera prevents Silva from improving his position.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Roger Cavallera just wasn't active enough. Silva clinches up with Cavallera and pushes him back against the cage. Cavallera jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Silva walks away with a smile on his face. Cavallera gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Cavallera has Silva up against the cage in a clinch.
Cavallera fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Cavallera wants to break free but Silva has control.
Silva pulls guard. Silva wants to stand but Cavallera is controlling the position. Cavallera stands up and waves to Silva to follow him. Silva misses with the combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva moves into the clinch. Cavallera tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Silva's elbow. Cavallera is working for takedown but Silva is calmly controlling the position for now. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roger Cavallera. That's going to take a lot out of him. Silva escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Silva darts in and clinches Cavallera up against the cage. Cavallera tries to pull guard but Silva holds him up against the cage and eventually Cavallera drops back down to his feet.
Cavallera blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Silva stops a takedown attempt from Cavallera.
Silva's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Cavallera throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Silva moves into the clinch. Cavallera managing to block the knees to the body from Silva.
Silva pulls guard effortlessly. Silva not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Silva bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cavallera's guard. Silva is pushing down on Cavallera's leg trying to pass to half guard. Cavallera is fighting to maintain full guard but Silva has managed to sneak the leg through. Silva trying to control the action but Cavallera is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cavallera looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Cavallera looks like he's trying to stand up.
Cavallera tries to roll over but Silva keeps him under control. Cavallera is breathing heavily. Silva is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Cavallera defends it well.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Cavallera looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Silva is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Cavallera has managed to free his arm - good work. Silva is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Cavallera shoots in for a takedown but Silva shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Silva clinches. Cavallera gets control of Silva's arms and successfully pulls guard. Cavallera will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Silva stands up from guard. Let's bang! Cavallera slips a jab and a cross from Silva.
Silva gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Silva scores a nice knee to the body.
Silva is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. A nice glancing elbow lands by Silva. Cavallera tries for a takedown. No joy.
Silva unloads a knee to the mid-section. Silva unloads a knee to the mid-section. Silva pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Silva moves into the clinch successfully.
Silva lands a knee to the head.
Cavallera takes a knee right on the jaw!
Silva lands a nice knee to the body. Cavallera tries to pull guard but Silva holds him up against the cage and eventually Cavallera drops back down to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cavallera can't break the clinch.

Silva pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Cavallera has his takedown stuffed and Silva holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Silva can't get the takedown.
Silva tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Silva manages to break the clinch.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Silva enables Cavallera to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Silva manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Cavallera in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Silva manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Silva looking to control and managing it successfully. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Cavallera is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ed Silva dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Silva clinches. Knees to the body from Silva.
Cavallera is trying to push Silva away but Silva has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Cavallera is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Silva breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Silva fails to land the takedown. Silva with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Silva closes the distance and lands a one-two. Cavallera fails with a takedown attempt. Silva moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Silva gets in close and instigates a clinch. Knees to the body from Silva.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Silva scores a nice knee to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action! Cavallera takes a knee to the side of the body. Silva scores with a knee to the head.
Silva decides to pull guard. Silva kicks Cavallera off and gets to his feet. Cavallera gets tackled into the cage by Silva. Silva maintains the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Silva lands a knee to the body.
Cavallera works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Silva has his feet on Cavallera's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Silva tries to close the distance and clinch but Cavallera swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Silva has his takedown stuffed and Cavallera counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Silva is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Silva has his feet on Cavallera's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Silva tries to clinch but Cavallera is having none of it. Silva takes the fight into the clinch. Silva lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Cavallera has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Silva should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Cavallera has tightened it up now! Silva should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
