Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vanya Savin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terry Tonq (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vanya Savin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vanya Savin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Terry Tonq! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tonq scores with the left hand. Savin knows he should have avoided that one. Savin shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Tonq keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Savin on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Savin shoots for a takedown but Tonq saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vanya Savin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Savin shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Tonq misses with a looping left. Savin walks into a jab. Savin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tonq as he jumps to the side.
That's one minute gone in the round. Savin takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Tonq throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Savin stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Savin fails with the takedown letting Tonq counter with a right hand. Savin is breathing heavily. Savin on the wrong end of a nice hook. Oooooh!!! Tonq has knocked Savin down with a huge combo! Tonq steps away and waves a wobbly Savin back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Savin is rocked! Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tonq bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Oh Savin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tonq lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Savin seems to have got his legs back now. Tonq scores with a hook to the body. Savin takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Tonq feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Savins jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Savin doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Tonq cracks Savin with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Savin looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Tonq finish him?
It looks like Vanya Savin has been cut. Tonq drops Savin with a straight right hand, right on the button! Tonq follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Terry Tonq!
