Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tito Desperado! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Duncan Harty! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A thudding body kick lands there by Desperado!
Harty comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Desperado takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Harty throws a hook but Desperado avoids it easily. Desperado misses with a takedown and Harty connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Tito Desperado has been cut. Harty swats away the attempt to clinch by Desperado. Harty swinging wildly here.
Desperado closes this distance looking for a takedown but Harty circles away. Harty gets caught flat footed, as Desperado shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Harty escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Desperado gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Harty looking for a sweep. Not yet Harty, not yet. Desperado is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's one minute gone in the round. Desperado trying to control the position from guard on top but Harty is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Desperado drops back looking for a leg! Harty is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Harty manages to kick Desperado off! Desperado jumps back into Harty's guard. Desperado postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Harty is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Desperado, into his guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Harty is looking to stand up but Desperado won't let him. Harty looks gassed! Harty got a little sloppy there for a moment and Desperado has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Harty has managed to get both his arms back between Desperado's legs - danger averted. That's two minutes gone in the round. Desperado keeping moving, preventing Harty from controlling successfully. Desperado has a closed guard, preventing Harty from standing up. Desperado is looking for a triangle but Harty pushes his legs off easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Desperado is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Harty rolls with it to try and escape but Desperado cranks on the arm and Harty is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
