Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clyde Dimitri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bradock Lao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clyde Dimitri!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dimitri misses with a looping left.
Dimitri scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Lao doesn't seem bothered though.
Lao tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Dimitri manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Dimitri wants to slow Lao down by chopping away at his legs.
Dimitri fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lao manages to avoid it.
Lao throws a nice looking combination but Dimitri bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Dimitri throws a jab but it's blocked by Lao.
Nice uppercut there from Dimitri.
Dimitri rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Lao counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Dimitri's guard now.
Dimitri tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Lao gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

and Lao counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Dimitri motions for Lao to come forward. Dimitri throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Lao is controlling the pace.
Lao's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Lao postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Dimitri to stand up.
Lao has a takedown stuffed.
Lao throws a series of punches but Dimitri avoids them all with ease.

Lao fails in his attempt to clinch.
Dimitri scores with a crisp jab that stopped Lao in his tracks.
Lao closes the distance and clinches up with Dimitri, looking for a takedown. Lao pushes Dimitri against the cage but Dimitri circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Dimitri looks to land a right hand but Lao moved out of range.
Lao shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dimitri as he avoids it easily.
Clyde Dimitri has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bradock Lao.

and Dimitri counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Lao takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Dimitri leaves Lao with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Lao shoots in looking for a takedown but Dimitri manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lao's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
A slapping leg kick lands for Dimitri.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dimitri keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Dimitri is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

That was a close round but I would say that Clyde Dimitri will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Lao walks forward, straight into a front kick from Dimitri.
Lao fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Lao changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dimitri tries to avoid it but Lao manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dimitri to the ground. Dimitri escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Lao moves out of range as Dimitri throws a body kick.
Dimitri feints and then cracks Lao's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Lao down.

Dimitri lunges at Lao with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Lao's hand.

Bradock Lao seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dimitri is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Dimitri scores with a hook to the body. Lao takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Dimitri fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Lao has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Dimitri feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Laos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Good leg kick by Dimitri there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Lao with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Dimitri to score with a decent uppercut.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Lao's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Dimitri cracks Lao with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dimitri, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
