Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kyron Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Hirohito Nitta and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Starikov manages to avoid it.
Starikov misses the shot to the body.
Gracie swings widly with a right hand
and Starikov counters with a straight right hand.
Gracie shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gracie showed some decent athleticism there.
Gracie is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Gracie wants to take a breather but Starikov is having none of it.
Gracie content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Starikov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gracie on the ground.
Starikov is not content to let Gracie control the position.
Gracie lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gracie seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Starikov is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
