Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Clarence Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Gato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gato has chosen Brainsucker as his entrance music. Pedro Gato has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pedro Gato!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Trevor Gratis and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jones throws a head kick but Gato moves out of range.
Jones really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Gato keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Jones throws a looping overhand right but Gato ducks down to avoid it.
Jones throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Jones fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gato, pushing him back against the cage.
Jones tries to break the clinch but Gato is controlling the position.

Jones has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Gato clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Jones doesn't have the hooks in and Gato manages to turn into his guard.

Jones looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Jones is looking for a triangle but Gato pushes his legs off easily.

Gato trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Gato checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Jones wants to control from the top but Gato keeps moving.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Jones throws a low kick, looking for Gato's leg but Gato calmly moves out of range.

A lazy left from Jones finds it's target.
Jones throws a leg kick but Gato sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Gato is trying to control Jones's posture but Jones avoids it.
Gato is trying to escape the position but Jones is controlling the position.

You can see the frustration on Gato's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Gato is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Jones is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Jones is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gato doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Jones.

Jones throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Gato has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jones is working away from the top position though.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jones misses with the combination.
Jones swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jones circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jones throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gato looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Jones thows a body shot but no joy.
A combination from Jones does no damage.
Jones swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jones throws a series of punches but Gato moves out of range.
Jones takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Jones misses with a leg kick.
Gato tries to close the distance and clinch but Jones swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Gato looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jones is fending him off so far but Gato persists. Nope, Jones circles away and we're back to standing.
No joy there for Jones, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jones fails to land the takedown.
Horrible takedown by Gato or perhaps it was just good defense by Jones which made him look bad.
Gato shoots for a takedown but Jones saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Pedro Gato has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jones scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Gato fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Jones.
Gato walks into a straight right hand from Jones.
Jones throws a combination. Gato tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
A nice inside leg kick there by Jones. That's going to slow Gato down.

And that's the end of the fight!
Clarence Jones showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Jones has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
